Interested in the Medical Field?
Juniors and Seniors- Are you interested in the medical field? Dr. Karl von Tiehl from Bowtie Allergy is offering a number of internships through his office- possibly up to 12 (1-2 students per month). Over the past few years, he has welcomed everyone from high school juniors to post-graduate Allergy/Immunology fellows in his clinics, and he is eager to start having students in his clinic again. His current private practice allows him to have good one-on-one time with students interested in pursuing a career in medicine. If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your online application and resume to Ms. Mutia. Because of the ongoing nature of this internship, Ms. Mutia will follow up with interviews starting in early November and continue throughout the year. Students can submit for these internships at any time and will be considered for the following month. Due to healthcare regulations, he can only offer unpaid "shadowing" experiences to high school students. Typically, shadowing will involve a total of 1 or 2 half-day sessions. Clinic experiences will vary based on patients’ consent. Students would be required to sign a standard non-disclosure agreement (countersigned by their parent[s]), to be on-time and to dress professionally.
